The essence of artistic photography at the first stages of its development was to focus on traditional painting. Literal copying of pictures, transferring them into a new form, later grew into independent original photos. Artistic photography uses imagery and symbolism to convey a certain idea or impression of the author, but using specific methods of the technology itself. Each such photo is a separate work of art.
