Since childhood, the views of Sofievsky Park have excited my imagination. There was something mystical, even alien, in the numerous grottoes, natural and man-made piles of stones and rocks, rivers, including underground, lakes with cascades, waterfalls and fountains, ancient sculptures. A stunning collection of living plants from around the world. Moreover, almost all the compositions of the park, or, as they would say now, installations, encrypted the ancient mythology and history of the Pototskys, the founders of the park. The symbiosis of the greatness of antiquity and the secrets of the family legend of the owners create a unique atmosphere of romance. This park is beautiful at any time of the year and in any weather. Personally, I managed to visit there at a fairly mature age. Since then, whenever possible, I try to visit this fantastic place again and again. This and many of my other works are dedicated to him.
I paint pictures under the pseudonym Alek Gross. The main style is romantic realism. Technique - oil painting on canvas stretched on a stretcher. The main tools are a brush, a palette knife. The main stimulus in creativity is music. Some of my works are called compositions and albums by contemporary authors and composers of the Baroque era.
