This painting has a special place in my work. This is a portrait of a model, she looked so detached that she seemed to merge with the still life that stood in front of her. I liked her state when she was physically here, but in fact somewhere far away, in the world that is hidden behind this body. She looked like a girl from the beginning of the 19th century, now you rarely see such facial features. At that time I was fond of Art Nouveau, Chaim Soutine and Egon Schille.
