This artwork is a modern portrait created by the artist Gokhan Alpgiray in 2023. It employs a grunge aesthetic with intricate silhouettes and textured elements, using primarily black and orange tones to evoke a sense of autumn and natural decay. The painting features micro-life forms integrated into its design, emphasizing the importance of solidarity as a cornerstone of existence. The piece reflects on how modern society has fragmented social life, articulating a call for unity and mutual support as an antidote to systematic isolation.
I have painted all my life. Nature is always present in my pictures. I held exhibitions in my country. In 2004 I received an invitation from the Florence Biennale. My pictures were used in the sets of the most popular series. Painting gave me the joy of living even in the worst moments and I want to give it to those who look at my paintings. I am very confident in the healing effect of art on the human psyche. I use acrylic and oil in my paintings. I can depict a psychological or political problem as well as I like to paint a pleasant landscape of nature.
