About the artist Gokhan Alpgiray

I have painted all my life. Nature is always present in my pictures. I held exhibitions in my country. In 2004 I received an invitation from the Florence Biennale. My pictures were used in the sets of the most popular series. Painting gave me the joy of living even in the worst moments and I want to give it to those who look at my paintings. I am very confident in the healing effect of art on the human psyche. I use acrylic and oil in my paintings. I can depict a psychological or political problem as well as I like to paint a pleasant landscape of nature.

Education

I studied at the University of Archeology and Art History. My love for painting started when I was a child. I was saying that I will be a painter when I was 10 years old. I read a lot over the years and visited exhibitions. I followed everything about art on the Internet. Art has always been at the center of my life. I taught myself. I thought a lot about art. I read a lot. I painted a lot. I feel the responsibility of being an artist. I believe that the responsibility of artists is enormous in our world where the environmental problems of wars and atrocities are so much. One of the ways to give people beauty and goodness is undoubtedly art.
