This painting captivates with its rich representation of indigenous mythology and ancient rituals. Marcelo Fidélis uses vibrant colors derived from the earth to bring this work to life, immersing the viewer in an ancestral and spiritual narrative. With every detail, he captures the essence of indigenous art, presenting a mask that seems to come to life through its palette of colors and shapes. This work not only decorates, but also evokes deep reflection and respect for the indigenous cultures of the Amazon, showing an aesthetic and emotional harmony that is at once primitive and timeless.
Born in Barbacena- MG, Marcelo Fidélis is a self-taught artist. His relationship with art dates back to when he was a child and trained as a cook. He currently develops work using experimental techniques linked to sculpture, painting, cooking and skateboarding. His work revolves around the simple representation of the human face, establishing different variations through materials, textures, colors and expressions, towards a sculptural process of the surface, valuing manual work. His work is an invitation to a natural, pure and instinctive experience, combined with the primitive and the strength of the face as a means of encounter, presence and expression.
