This painting impressively depicts how a Turkmen alabai protects its owner, dressed in national costume, from a predator on the snowy slopes of the Kopetdag. The faithful Alabai and the Akhal-Teke horse, presented as inseparable companions of man, symbolize not only endless loyalty, but also the historical significance of these animals for the Turkmen people. The artist, with special attention to detail, conveyed every highlight of the scene, creating at the same time a harmonious and balanced image, overflowing with drama and emotion.

Zakir Babayew, Turkmenistan
A young and talented Turkmen master Zakirzhan Babayev was born on October 29, 1993 in Dashoguz velayat into a family of hereditary artists. Noticing the talent and keen interest of the young talent in drawing, Zakirzhan Babayev’s uncle, the famous sculptor Zohijon Babayev in Turkmenistan, personally took up the education of his nephew and began to introduce him to the fine arts from an early age. Over time, having determined Zakirzhan’s inclination towards artistic craft, his parents sent him to the Art School in Ashgabat. During the period of study in Ashgabat in 2010-2014. Zakirzhan took part in various competitions and exhibitions, winning prizes. This allowed Zakirzhan to enter the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat in 2014 without competition. Already during his years of study at the Academy, the young artist was remembered as the author of outstanding paintings, which began to be widely exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ashgabat. In 2017, Zokirzhon became the winner of the competition of the President of Turkmenistan “Altyn Asyr”. A year later he was awarded the title of "Young Scientist" of the year. He took part in various exhibitions in different cities, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. Since 2023, Zakirzhan has been teaching at the State Academy of Arts in Ashgabat
