Description of the Artwork “Crazy Ice Pop”

My inspiration for this painting came while shopping. While standing in line watching people buy Ice Cream at Ben and jerry's with outside temperatures rising up to 100 degrees but no humanity in Palm Desert, Ca. Watched them eat frozen Ice cream and just melt down their faces thinking that looks good I waited across the way from a different store thinking I have an idea and I'll paint a new painting. I'll title crazy ice cream pops how fitting to paint when I returned home to my studio during a heatwave relaxing with the air conditioning on. This colorful and bold original Ice Cream painting depicts that moment in time. Watercolor painting on the highest quality 140 lb cold press acid-free 100% cotton fiber on watercolor Canvas paper.

About the artist
Terry Cornelius

Terry Cornelius, United States

Terry Cornelius is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Palm Springs, California. A native of Chicago, Illinois, his vibrant and bold art paintings draw on his experiences as a young child with an active and creative mind. An M.F.A graduate of San Diego State University, Cornelius’ unique watercolor paintings use artistry and emotion that resonates with the beauty of everyday life. Inspired by my imagination and experiences, my contemporary style uses a mix of vibrant and bold watercolors on canvas paper that create a whimsical and moderate art scene showcasing my connection between my art and state of mind. Painting from personal experiences my intent is to connect the viewer to my imagination and thought processes while allowing them to interpret and feel their own connection with my work.
