The artwork titled Mosadi which is "woman" in Tswana. The work is inspired by women and hardships they have to endure in the society we live in. The lines represent the hardships they go through and how some have come to be defined by those hardships through action and appearance. With all of that they still manage to be the beautiful mothers, sisters, aunts and wives that we've come to love and appreciate. We celebrate our women's imperfections that have moulded them to the beauty that they are.
I’m a young South African visual artist residing in the east of Johannesburg who is very passionate about art and its possibilities. I see art as more than just beautiful etchings on a canvas but a tool to tell your story. My work is inspired by dreams moulded by possibility causing the audience to take a closer as I fuse two worlds to create a surreal possible outcome. I aim on improving from my previous works and try telling a better story through the strokes I make.
