In this captivating cubist portrait by Pavlo Ponomarenko, each stroke and shade serves to dismantle and reconstruct the visual identity of a man enriched by his belongings—clothing, a bag, and notably, a hockey stick. Cloaked in a palette dominated by black, this artwork, created in 2024, transcends mere representation, inviting viewers to explore the symbolic depth of cash, cards, and personal items. It's a brilliant exploration of modern life and identity through the lens of Cubism, offering a poignant commentary on the material and symbolic elements that define our existence.
