Description of the Artwork “Aloe”
Aloe flower is a common houseplant. But there is a special appeal to it. Wandering my eyes through the labyrinths of bizarrely curved leaves, there is a sensation of something fantastic, alien. The impression is enhanced by cast shadows. The flower fills the whole space of the picture with a weaving rhythm. The combination of green and gold colors gives the viewer a sense of harmony and comfort. Textured brush strokes on a gold background and leaves, covered with multilayer glaze varnishes. This gives the effect of depth and flicker of light.
