Kolesnyk Volodymyr Artemovych (1920-1986) 1920 - Vladimir Artemievich Kolesnik was born in Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk region, Zheltoye village. 1939 – 1941 – Studied at the Kiev Art School. 1946 – 1952 – Studied at the Kiev State Art Institute, Faculty of Painting. After graduation from the Institute he taught at the Kiev Art College. 1949 – started to participate in exhibitions in Ukraine, USSR. 1964 – joined the Artists’ Union of the USSR Kolesnik worked in landscape and genre painting. His works are distinguished by bright decorativeness and open saturated color. He took part in more than 60 exhibitions of the USSR, ukrainian and international ones. Paintings of V.A. Kolesnik are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, France, Japan, Germany and Canada.
