Sonia Enache

Through my art, I seek to express momentarily feelings that cannot be expressed through words. In my practice, I use ink on paper, charcoal, pastels, oil colors on canvas, and other mediums with the sole purpose of immortalizing a feeling, an impression, or thoughts from the subconscious. As I have always been an admirer of Picasso's art, most of my drawings and paintings encompass cubist and line art elements.

After finishing my studies, I continued experimenting with various mediums and techniques to find, build, and define a style of expression I resonated with. I exhibited costume-related and graphic design art while being a student, and recently, I have participated in different painting exhibitions in Romania and Italy. I am working closely with ARTCITY gallery in Bucharest, with whom I participated in various group exhibitions and charity events(Soroptimist Union Romania and ARTCITY Gallery, "Orange the World" Exhibition, Brașov, 2022; "Dreaming of Japan," Bucharest, 2022, "Stop Violence"-with charity auction, Brașov, 2023; "Hypostases" exhibition, Maramureș County Prefecture, 2023; "Elephants for Peace," The Village Museum of Baia Mare, 2023); as for international exhibitions, Make Art Gallery, Abstracta, Contemporary Art Virtual Exhibition, Rome, 2022.

I studied Fashion Design at the University of Arts in Bucharest and graduated in 2013, and I have been painting since 2007.
