Olena Razuvaieva

I’m a Ukrainian artist with short history yet. When I was young I dreamed to become a movie director and even shot some short meter films. But my education was not about cinema, it was about design and thanks to wide range of disciplines in university I’ve learned watercolour painting and lots of other graphic mediums. In two weeks after I defended my master degree my hometown occupied by russia. So since 2014 I was busy somehow to survive as a refugee inside my own country, but my path went too far from any arts. And in 2022 I’ve lost my second home again, and again with same reason - russian occupiers. After that moment I’m coming back to my art path. It’s hard, but I still have hope and lots of inspiration. I wish not only be able to make for a living with my arts but also take a part in Ukrainian culture, as a small drop. And I want to make my art known as made by UKRAINIAN artist born, studied and dedicated art for my Ukrainian hometown - Luhansk, which is occupied since 2014. Maybe one day russian propaganda will break their teeth on mine and other artist’s stories - stories telling that tose lands were and will always be Ukraine. So this is short one side story about me. And “Thanks to” occupators I’ve got lots of experience leaded to some traumas which I want to open and live through with my art. Looking for a good, beauty, honour and love which is inside of me despite all aggression I went through.
