Michel Tuinman

I am Michel Tuinman, a 30-year-old visual artist and I live and work in Rotterdam. I followed my education at the Wackers Academy in Amsterdam where the emphasis is on artistic craft development and good control of techniques. Explanation art My interest in painting is diverse. At the moment I am very attracted by nightly cityscapes. The reflections, the many light sources, shadows and perspectives are aspects that awaken my interest. With my paintings, I want to create dynamic cityscapes, in which the warm shop windows, street lighting, traffic and car lights blend with the cool hardness of concrete and asphalt. Figuration merges with abstraction. With the help of various painting techniques, I give people a view of cities from my vision in oil paint.
