Maria Shumer

Hi, my name is Maria, I'm 33 years old, originally fr om Minsk (Belarus). Since 2011 I have been working in graphic design, creating a visual shell for easy perception of information, which combines intuitive clarity and compositional harmony. I transfer this experience to my pictorial works, wh ere I can convey my interpretation of the world, events and feelings through colors and forms. I find inspiration in constant search and therefore often experiment with materials and techniques. Recently, I have been fascinated by watercolor technique - I like the transparency of watercolor, through which appears the texture of the paper, its demand for confidence in movements, the ability to enhance the color by applying more layers of paint, wherein general ease of drawing and the magic of interaction of paint with water. My works borrowed a lot from modern graphic design - minimalism, brightness and informational message. I see my task as an artist in bringing beauty into this world and enlightening the viewer through emotional and visual images.
