Most of the works are made in the metamodern style, which combines elements of modern European art, Eastern philosophy and traditional Chinese motifs. Metamodern focuses on the interaction of man with the outside world, nature and its influence on man, as well as scientific and technological progress and environmental protection. Metamodern in art is a cultural paradigm that emerged at the beginning of the 21st century. It is characterized by fluctuations between opposites, instability and the desire for stability. The image of a pendulum most fully reflects the essence of metamodern. There is no fulcrum. Everything is possible and everything is right. The necessary condition is sincerity. Metamodern is manifested in various artistic strategies, such as performatism and romantic conceptualism. The purpose of the exhibition is to show the diversity of cultures and traditions of China and Russia, their contribution to world culture and art, and to emphasize the importance of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. This is the third exhibition in the Silk Road series.
