UU He is a journalist of the Official National Association of Italian Journalists since 2002. He worked and collaborated with national and international magazines and media. He has published with the important Italian editorial Feltrinelli and worked for important social institutions such as FAO of the United Nations (official video of the World Water Day). His images have been selected in prestigious photo awards. He also works on international publishing projects, for agencies and brands. Kantfish, Emanuele Giusto, is Italian multidisciplinar author who believes in the Renaissance idea of ​​a broad and transversal culture. Deeply interested in the humans anthropology and philosophy, he research and observe in his worldwide experiences to find the way to interpret the complexity of reality and of human psychology. Kantfish mix documentary elements, report, with personal digital techniques and concepts of modern pop culture to find the way to inspire the reflection on the thin line between what we see and what it could be in real if we had another perspective. His images express a positive view of a metaphoric reality. ___ Kantfish explore more field in art and communication. In film production he directed the feature documentary El Dulce Sabor del Éxito, that offer a reflection on the Success concept in our society, with the tenor Placido Domingo, the actress Rossy de Palma, the philosopher Fernando Savater, the photographer Alberto García-Alix, the artist Pilar Albarracín, The psychologist Martin Seliegman, the buddhist Matthieu Ricard, etc. The film is in its post-production phase. He produced and directed two short films, ALMAmATER no-fiction and the documentary Nobody Like Athens. He has eclectic experiences in different continents, from Africa to Asia, as a reporter, editorial and project manager. In Spain he have co-founded five startups, and he has directed or co-directed different projects in visual field. He hold a law degree (Universidad degli Studi di Perugia), doctoral thesis The therapeutic cloning as a legal problem. He coursed the International Master of Artistic and Documentary Photography and Image Technique, at EFTI School in Madrid. Kantfish is a journalist at the Official Italian Journalists Association since 2002 and worked and collaborated with international magazines and media, TV, radios, publishers, national and international agencies. He has published a book with a major Italian publisher Feltrinelli and he worked with important social institutions worldwide such as FAO United Nations. In the actuality he worked also for advertising agencies and brands. When I observe reality I put everything in doubt, I wonder and inspire the free answers that I have and that each one has inside. I approach with wonder and with pure energy, with a positive or constructive attitude. And sometimes, in certain contexts, I prefer a caustic view and look at systems by altering their purpose, to find existential or philosophical solutions. We must act to change our reality. Heisenberg's theory of indeterminacy reminds us that it is never possible to determine all aspects from a single point of view and for this reason we always have the possibility of discovering a new essence of reality. Or new solutions. My pictures offer spaces for traveling, exploring and interpreting and are the result of observations, reflections, analyses, and intuitions. They represent everyday places from all over the world, different visions of intimate details, interpretations of unreal situations and sublime moments that could not be missed. I remain in contemplation of aesthetics, in search of the divine beauty, the conscience, that is wisdom. Images are not just photographs. They are images, in fact. I like to call them that because photography is only part of my creative process. Before the click can go decades and after the click an image remains in me and on my screen the time necessary to develop personal techniques, to work it, to reflect on it, to arrive at what I want to express in the most effective way. My metabolism times are two-year average. My vision is humanistic, holistic and looks with the amplitude of the ὅλος, the totality because the reality is complex and one must understand the soul, not only each element that composes it. I am the reflection of what I learned under the sun, immersed in the sea accompanied by the singing of Sirens of Ulysses, among the columns of the amphitheaters of Magna Grecia, on the trains running to the north, in the intense colors of the literature, even in the Pirandelian games of Sicily. In every situation, I submerge and go out again. With empathy, rapport, respect, I approach and patiently wait, in a maieutic way, that the work is born. Each image is an unforeseen adventure. I believe in the reports designed for large media and in the ability of art to be free and to transmit passions that go beyond the rational. I believe in new communication techniques to "translate and get". I believe in the instants of Helmut Newton, those built by Jan Saudek, the whites of Richard Avedon, the compositions and colors of Franco Fontana, the defocus of Plossu Bernard, in the visual search of Michael Najjar. I am referring to fashion aesthetics, trends, urban artists like Banksy, to the different narrative of Ryszard Kapuściński, to the audacity of Nobuyoshi Araki, to the alternative and novel formulas of Joe Sacco or Art Spiegelman who tell stories already known in a highly shocking way or the delirium of the lost roads of David Lynch. I do all this to understand and evolve. To celebrate the fact that I am alive. To gather points, spin stories and inspire to enter other realities. It is a way to create bubbles and not get lost in useless beliefs.
