About the artist Johnny Brisko

Born on 18.11.1982 and grew up in Ukraine in the city of Krivoy Rog. Fr om an early age, the main hobbies were medicine and drawing. These two arts have gone hand in hand throughout the artist's life. In 1999 entered the National University of A.A. Bogomolets in Kiev, where he studies medicine. And in parallel with this, he hones the drawing skills depicting the anatomical parts of a human. This was followed by a move to Moscow in 2001, wh ere artist continued education at the Moscow Medical Academy named after I.M. Sechenov. (now I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical University) and studied medicine. At the same time, artist got acquainted with the galleries of contemporary art in Moscow and with contemporary art in general. However, medical education and then medical practice at N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute first as a Resident, and then as a Postgraduate Student of the of Surgery of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education take all the time, and the study of art fades into the background for several years. But despite attempts to become an exemplary doctor, being on duty every third day, speaking at conferences with reports, many grateful patients, creativity haunts. In 2010, the artist leaves practical medicine and goes in search of his own realization, which manifests itself in passing various courses from interior and object design to training in pottery workshops, and of course painting. In his work, the artist explores the relationship of things and events, the synthesis of seemingly incomparable things, an attempt by a person to achieve higher states of consciousness through creativity. In 2020, the main task for himself sees the synthesis of two arts - medicine and fine arts.
