German Bradley

German Bradley is a self-taught abstract artist. He was born in Chile, but he was raised and educated in the UK. His penchant for drawing and painting started at the age of 10 when he was utterly fascinated with ancient oak trees, tree barks in general and wood, a subject which is still present in some of his paintings. Abstraction has allowed him to express his own spiritual vision of life and the recurrent dreams he usually has, represented by symbolic imagery, coming from a psycho-emotional point of view. His work have been purchased by private collectors and realtors both in Hong Kong and Chile. ARTIST STATEMENT "Each painting is like a journey for me. A journey into my inner self. It’s an emotional, frustrating and absorbing process where I actually lose track of time and feel utterly alive. Colours are very important in this journey as well. I usually work in many thin layers of paint on top of each other. Each new layer gives me inspiration for the following one."
