George Chachanidze

George Chachanidze was born in 1965 in a famous Georgian architect’s family. Love for painting the artist already revealed in his early childhood – according to his mother’s words, the first thing he had took in his hands were a pencil and paints ¬– so after a while thanks to his natural talent and hard work the artist got recognition in the most prestigious professional circles. George is a regular participant in major art events in Georgia, wherein its capital, Tbilisi, he had several personal exhibitions, he successfully cooperates with the oldest in Georgia publishing houses "Morning", "Our writer", the magazine "Omega". His paintings are in private collections in Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Georgia, Russia. Besides, for more than 25 years, George has been teaching painting and drawing, being a leading professor at the State Academy of Arts in Tbilisi. Here's what the artist says about his creative method: "In the modern art object is important to me to present my individual vision and personal style in harmony and adapt it to real time, which in turn can be viewed as a combination of the traditional easel painting and the modern trends... Visual art is the most important segment in Cultural Studies, focused on human perception and shaping his mindset. And I have a desire to aestheticize the rational and the sensual, and to transmit these emotions to the picture surface... I do not seek to impose on the viewer my point of view about a work, trying not to tell much about it. I prefer to let viewers made judgments, based on her experience, imagination and the subconscious themselves... I think Art has to unite and rethink in harmony the historical and contemporary achievements of culture – this is what I call the Art, the Art out of time.
