Bogdan Stet

Bogdan Stet was born in 1977 in Baia-Mare, a city in Transylvania having a long tradition in painting and fine arts. Probably his birthplace influenced his career choices: after having fallowed the Arts Gymnasium, he enrolled the University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca, from which he graduated in 2003. His collection of drawings represents a great opportunity to explore deep subjects: humans and the world that is constantly changing, the journey of life, adaptability, fate. His drawings are allegories in which fantastic characters are holding the key role in transmitting the subtle messages. His broad spectrum of recent themes comprises return to nature, struggling for balance, sailing into the troubled seas. The paintings have a decorative imprint, they are expressions of his inner universe as well as interpretations of the world we live in. Favorite materials include: oil on canvas and cardboard, pencil and ink on paper. Although an emerging artist his works have a very strong impact on viewers, many finding them fresh and unique.
