About the artist Alina Konyk

Automatic translation

I was born in 1996 and grew up in a provincial town of western Ukraine. I put a part of myself into my art and in the process of my artworks creation I was inspired by ornaments from national clothes and household items. Also, Ukrainian traditions, literature and folklore in general had a great influence on my work. I’m a universal artist. This means that I’m working well with graphics and painting. I love large formats, experimenting with techniques and combining various materials. After receiving a higher art education in college and university, I'm investing a lot of time to self-development in this direction. I have vast experience working with oil and am fluent in watercolor painting techniques. I also love to use metal leafs in all its diversity — from gold to copper and silver. In graphics, I'm experimenting with a combination of various materials — charcoal, graphite, pencils, pastel, acrylic. My artworks are unique because I'm also working with materials that are rarely used by other artists. For example, ink, Russian sauce crayons, sanguine, sepia, gouache. I’m also interested in scraperboard, cold batik and other types of applied arts. I don't like to make duplicates and all my artworks exists in only one copy. But if you liked something, you can order quite similar art piece from me. I'm always open for cooperation and interesting projects. I’m also a good portrait painter and will be happy to paint a portrait in any technique and format for order.
