The Books

Painting is done on canvas using Oils. I have painted using a knife that's why the surface is deeply textured and rough. It has a very raw natural look like it has been carved from stone. The light colors used gives it a expansive soothing spacious effect. I have tried to capture the beauty and elegance of the natural elements of the stone walls, wooden furniture, leather bound books the paintings hanging and the textured carpet. The Room is grand at the same time has an earthy balance to it. It will be shipped in a plastic tube in a rolled form. The sides are painted to give it a three dimensional feel .
