Description of the Artwork “Orbital station”
It is always elusive, ever a complicated journey. Despite our hopes and strivings, there is never a clear path, a way to avoid the blurry and contradictory shadows of false prophets, and misconceived notions of wisdom. True launching points for reaching lasting knowledge? These too lie hidden in deep labyrinths, dimensions removed from orbital stations that lead to true freedom. So what lies ahead in the eternal search? One must be prepared for disappointments, darkness, and the inevitable chaos inherent in the universe. All that is part of discovering the Source, what provides incalculable nourishment, fertility, and benevolence. That is the journey. Finding what brings the inspirational, and inner wholeness—the orbital station Plato, Monet, Incas and the Aztecs believed was the magical, foundational genesis of creation—the spiritual antidote to mere materialism. Their much-revered advice? Seek the sun-- then be the Flame! Here there was so much promise, so much intelligibility, it's the center of enlightenment. Or as Kandinsky suggested in his flamboyantly-colored bouquet to the Sun, it enlivens the Garden of Love. Kandinsky struggled to arrive at this peace, this understanding and completeness. So did Van Gogh, and other truth seekers. Paths to radiance customarily wind through tangled irrelevance and betrayals. Fears and doubts. But even those without a treasured, trusty old car—one that spirited this passionate, “dressed to discover” traveler past many bumps in the road—can feel the glow of Arrival. Just a willingness to taste the freshest, most energy-giving fruit is necessary to prepare for this transformational flight—to soar into realms way beyond the Earth’s gravitational pull. To travel to unexpected and inconceivable realms of pure wonder. She is certainly ready for this new journey. Long beyond her years of half-measures, timid steps, and false starts, she is now standing tall, embraced by the sun and about to go into orbit—her cosmological destination unknown. © Greciuhina&Kiersh

I Live and work in Moldova For many years I have been leading an architectural bureau, working closely with interiors, textures, colors and product design. Architectural background is giving me a lot of ideas and knowledge, that I am transforming into my artworks. I am perceiving a process of the art creation as my personal cult and intimate ritual which gives me a freedom of expression. In my artistic practice I am interested in recording and showing the diversity and ambiguity of human nature as well as the mystery of all aspects of human personality. The main theme of my art is a study of the archetypes of a woman. I am recreating female images from different sources around me, including everyday life, fashion magazines and even internet. I keep wondering how personality and world perception of a woman can be affected by the external factors such as giving birth to a child, building a family or even changing the gender roles. The choice of this subject is stipulated by a continuous self-study, as an artist and as a woman, thus perceiving it as the most interesting and the dearest topic to me. Depicting female figures in a particular manner, I am placing them in the most unusual settings coming from the depth of my subconsciousness. Surrealism and interpretation of dreams, became strong references to me, but I am expressing them in a post-modern way, mixing bright colors, catchy poses from the posters, decorative elements and patterns with the typical elements of pop art. Full of peculiar details, my artworks are inviting the viewer to wonder, who are these women on the canvas and what is their story. Using mostly acrylic paint and working on large-scale canvases, recently I’ve started to experiment with digital art, studying how the new technologies can affect my creative process, giving me new ideas and skills.
