For this work, I use one of my signature techniques, I call it "scratching". The purpose of this work is for the blind to be able to experience it by feeling it. This artwork is not meant to be admired visually, but by touch.
I recently found inspiration in cacti. They've been a recurrent theme in my recent works. In this "scratch", the cacti are growing fr om a flower pot. There's a house on one of the cacti. This bending of reality serves to gently remind the viewer that our lives depend on nature and we must treasure even the smallest house plant.
I explore this world through my paintings. And to me, it is a wonderful, magical place. When I paint, I do not feel the passing of time. I am in a state of utter bliss - it is a feeling I can only describe as Nirvana. I require no food, no sleep and very little water. I build a fairytale around myself and through me it becomes reality - both in my work and in my life. I believe that a painting is wh ere the Divine meets the temporal; inspiration and the physical world become one, creating a miracle. I hope that whoever looks at my paintings feels this miracle and feels the positive energy radiating from my work.
