A self-portrait placed in the context of the pits of depression, this artwork was inspired by the etymology of the words anxiety, anguish, anger, all descending from a root word to do with the throat - and so the throat is hardly the subject of the drawing, proving true sources of anguish to be hidden and invisible from view when becoming spectator rather than victim.
I was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In my paintings, drawings, digital art pieces, and films I try to explore the human face as a point of expression. I work as a writer, animator, artist and filmmaker in Dhaka.
