About the artist
Leo Adam, Ukraine
Leo Adam (Leonid Shatsylo), born in 1959. In 1982, he entered the sculpture department of the Odesa State Art College named after M.B. Grekov, graduating in 1986. This is the oldest and most prestigious educational institution in the Soviet Union and Ukraine, founded in 1865. From 1987, he worked as a sculptor at the Khmelnytskyi Art Combine of the Art Fund of the Ukrainian SSR. He created sculptural compositions for memorial signs dedicated to fallen soldiers in World War II, and crafted busts and memorial plaques for prominent figures. Currently, he works with sculpture in bronze, wood, and ceramic clay, and paints on canvas with oil paints.
