"Still life with Crab". Oil on canvas, 50x60 cm. Date of writing 2018. Hand-made subframe, gallery stretch canvas, fine-grained (Italy). This work was done in the technique of Dutch artists of the XVI-XVII century. Following the traditions of seven-layer painting and the works of artists Jan van Heysum, Balthasar van der Ast and Willem van Aelst "Still Life with Crab" has all the full layers according to the old technique. The picture is part of a series of categories "breakfast" according to the Flemish classification of the XVI-th century. When working with a picture used oil paints with natural pigment WINSOR & NEWTON.
