Description of the Artwork “Lavender tenderness”

Automatic translation

I was inspired to write this picture by the legend of the unrequited love of the girl Wanda for the young man Lalu. She found him barely alive in the forest and nursed him all winter. After recovering, Lal was going home, as his bride was waiting for him. Wanda turned to the witch for help, and she gave her a thick smelling liquid, which she had to pour three drops into her hair in the morning. But this fragrance did not help, since the young man's love for his bride was stronger than magic. He left, and Wanda, out of frustration, poured all the remaining liquid into her hair and grieved for Lala all her life. When she grew old and turned 100 years old, she went to the mountains. And over time, the shepherds found her withered body. But in the place where her hair was spread, flowers grew. They were purple-blue in color with a magical aroma. In memory of Lala and Wanda, people combined their names and called them Lavender. Lavender is a symbol of femininity, love and beauty, and a naked girl, in my interpretation, is a symbol of trust, love, and purity. As a true romantic, I am inspired by beautiful people and love stories, so my painting is "impregnated" with the strength and tenderness of this woman at the same time. Despite the fact that her path to the knowledge of love was tragic (the pebbles under her in the picture are a symbol of a thorny path), she continues to rejoice that she has known this feeling, inhales not only the aroma, but all her life with a deep chest and thanks (closed eyes and relaxed face) of this young man for love.

About the artist

Hi all! My name is Inna. Born and raised in Kharkov, Ukraine. At the moment I live in Moscow. Painting for me personally is a way of expressing my emotions, my inspiration from people and the world around me. I represent the surrounding reality in symbols and images, I convey my emotions and all the majesty of the world on canvas. In the process of painting a picture, I plunge into a different state, experiencing feelings of inspiration, “unity with work.” The sense of time disappears. I really like the expression of the German artist A. Dürer: "The secret treasure hidden in your heart becomes apparent through your creativity." I am a self-taught artist. My job is to just create, share, and then move on.
