Whether creating art from an original concept or making someone else’s dream come to life nothing is off limits - every new challenge is an opportunity to master a new medium. Originally from Montreal, Canada but destined for warmer climates, she moved to Oakland, California after attending the Burning Man art festival in 2001. During her time living in the US she has also earned herself a reputation as a facilitator of visions, making art for private commission and props for film sets. Every project, every new material, every idea, opens up new worlds of possibilities. As a self taught artist she constantly experiments with different processes and techniques to elevate her artistic skills and push boundaries. This path is taking her on a limitless journey were she can create beauty out of anything. With her latest project CopperFlora, she is teaming with her partner who is also an artist. Together they create detailed flowers and plants (and more) out of repurposed plumbing pipes and other copper parts. They are the 4ever flowers. CopperFlora is Clody Cates and Gaige Qualmann and together they are making antiques for the future. Their work is available here as one of a kind copper sculptures or as art prints.
