Caroline Stevens later known as Dark Horse was a female highway robber. It is said that to be robbed by Black Horse was not only terrifying but proved to be such a sexual experience that women fainted and men were left hopelessly infatuated. In the summer of 1664 Black Horse was captured by five vigilantes. After been tied up and shot in the chest with her own gun, she was left for dead. Print comes with the complete short story of Caroline White. Other images from this session may be available. Image is printed on 100% rag art canvas with dye inks.
