Description of the Artwork “Twist & Shout”

Paul McCartney in full swing on stage during The Beatles number of Twist & Shout. This photograph was taken during The Beatles concert in Huddersfield, Yorkshire on 22nd November 1963. The photo was taken with a Rolleiflex medium format film camera using Kodak Tri-x 400 asa black and white film. This limited edition print comes signed by my self with edition number and authenticity certificate. The photograph is produced on fine art museum/archival paper and is a limited edition of 49. I hand print each order myself and can supply alternative size if required.

Paul Berriff, United Kingdom

Paul Berriff is an award-winning cinematographer and fine art photographer who has been behind the camera for over 50 years. Paul began his photographic career at the age of sixteen as a press photographer in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. He has photographed legendary bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Roy Orbison and Marianne Faithfull. Berriff is also a television documentary film maker and has been presented with over 18 international awards including two BAFTA's for Best Documentary and a BAFTA nomination for Best Cinematography. Paul has escaped death four times whilst in pursuit of his stories. He was blown off a volcano in Central America, escaped from a major helicopter crash in the Scottish mountains, jumped from a sinking ship into the North Sea and was knocked unconscious by the collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 in New York. Paul continues his work as a fine art photographer producing outstanding monochrome images. His photographs have been exhibited worldwide and sought after by many of the world's leading art collectors. Paul still uses his original film cameras he used back in the 1960's to produce his large format limited edition photographs Paul was awarded an OBE in the Queen's 90th Birthday Honours. He is currently writing a book featuring his adventurous career behind the camera.
