Samoylenko is a bright representative of the classical Kharkiv photography and an active cultural figure of the city in the field of the Kharkiv photography. For a long time A. Samoylenko is working on a photo project dedicated to the History of Ukraine. A series of art photographs introduces the viewer to the peculiarities of the development of Ukrainian culture, religion and life in a period spanning over fifty thousand years. The time interval shown on them dates back to the 40th millennium BC and ends with the Middle Ages.
