This work belongs to a series about Light. Specifically, I have worked on the concept of fruit-light. Fruits sometimes catch light, such as grapes. In this work I have painted a pear-light. It is an ultra-modern still life. The fruit is in a horizontal band of light sienna, which is in turn on a gray and blue background, balanced with thick horizontal and vertical lines of black, sienna and red. Generates a feeling of tranquility and calm.
I am a self-taught painter. I started painting out of a pure need to do so, I guess it was a way to express the world and to express myself; At the same time he studied the works of the great artists, especially the art made from the second half of the 19th century onwards: French Impressionism, Northern European Expressionism, North American Abstract Expressionism, Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Brancusi, …All these positive influences are in some way in me, in what I do and feel, although sometimes the style of my works, apparently, is different. I began my artistic career as a cartoonist in 1991, drawing with graphite and charcoal; After a short time, he started making pastel drawings, using dry pastel and oil pastels. Starting in 1997 I started painting with oils and acrylics. And starting in 1998, I began to exhibit. I have participated in national and international painting competitions, in which my work has been selected on several occasions. I have work in collections of private Spanish institutions.
