Eunyoung Yun is a distinguished Korean-American artist based in Palisades Park, New Jersey. Born in Busan, Korea, She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kyung Sung University in Busan in 1991. She later pursued advanced studies in figurative oil painting at the National Academy of New York from 2008 to 2013. During this period, her frequent visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she admired the timeless works of masters such as Rembrandt, Monet, and Renoir, deeply influenced her artistic trajectory. Following her formal education, Ms. Yun dedicated herself to refining her craft as a self-taught artist, focusing on figurative oil painting. This journey has been both introspective and therapeutic, allowing her to explore and solidify her identity. Her distinctive technique of layering square-shaped colors in the backgrounds of her compositions serves to emphasize the subject matter while also creating a profound emotional connection between the artist and her work. Her paintings are often characterized by a soft, feminine narrative. Ms. Yun's work has been showcased in over 30 group exhibitions across Korea, New Jersey, and New York. Since 2022, she has held several solo exhibitions at Kaa Gallery in Palisades Park, where she is prominently featured as a representative artist. Her professional affiliations include the Korean Art Association and the Hackensack Art Club. She also maintains an active presence in online galleries such as Daily Painting, Saatchi Art, Jose Gallery, and Loop Art. In 2022, Ms. Yun’s work was highlighted in the "New This Week" collection on the Saatchi Art website in both June and September, leading to successful sales to collectors. Additionally, her paintings were featured in the 26th issue of Artistonish magazine, published on September 9, 2022.
