In this canvas, Valentina Matienko absorbed the depth of human feelings through the prism of cruelty and violence affecting prisoners of war. Sharp emotionality and expressive use of color create a metaphor that causes the viewer not just observation, but deep experience. Artistic representation gives a voice to the voiceless, forcing us to reflect on the dark pages of human history.
Valentina Matienko I was born in a picturesque village in the central part of Ukraine Podillia. From early childhood was surrounded by nature, folklore, books. I received a pedagogical and economic education. I became interested in painting in 2005, since then, have never parted with canvas and paints. The training of the painting was partially held in the studio of the Honored Artist Panchuk F.V. , while developing myself individual artistic handwriting. Besides, I study the psychology of color. I'm looking for my place in painting. Since 2008 I have been participating in the annual regional art gallery exhibition, which takes place in Vinnitsa. Works are in private collections. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2023.
