This painting conveys the tenderness of a spring morning, when white and purple irises are drowning in light shadows and half-shadows. The masterfully formed composition creates an atmosphere of calm, while soft impressionist brushstrokes bring liveliness and a sense of spring in motion to the work. The artist gracefully uses a soft palette of spring tones to emphasize the brevity and fragility of the beauty of each flower, reminding us of the enduring value of each moment of nature.
