This 2009 expressionist painting explores a fascinating juxtaposition of religious devotion and the undersea world. Employing a vibrant palette, Volodymyr Drachynski masterfully depicts the ironic scene of a parishioner in a church setting, surrounded by imagery evocative of the ocean's depth - including invertebrates, corals, and sandy textures. The piece, measuring 60 × 50 × 2 cm, delves deep into themes of faith, nature, and irony, creating a compelling narrative that bridges the sacral with the marine.
