Description of the Artwork “Fountain of Tears: Streams of Freedom”

Automatic translation

This painting by Victoria Shishlova, created using acrylic and cosmetics, contains deep symbolism of freedom and unfreedom. An abstract background composed of ice, fountain and vintage textures brings the scene to life in a unique way. The work expresses a yearning cry for freedom through distorted shapes and grunge aesthetics, imbuing each element of the pattern with hidden meaning and evoking strong emotional echoes with its textured surface.

About the artist

A self-taught artist, she worked in photo and video production as a photographer and artist, and participated in many projects of musicians. Participated as an artist's assistant on the filming of Kirill Serebrennikov Tchaikovsky's Wife in 2021. She opened her magazine, photographing girls in Vogue style. At the moment I have completely switched to painting. I paint using experimental techniques, using acrylic, expired cosmetics and spatulas. I explore the sensory tissue of the subconscious. Through the prism of my works I convey troubled times. A time of confusion, absurdity and absurdity. A time when the worlds of past and future intersect. Old and new generation. A social rift in which creative energy is released. Time for something new and change.
