Oyeleye Feranmi, Nigeria
Oyeleye Feranmi (b.2000) is a continuing distinctive artist, he hails from Oyo town, Oyo State, Nigeria, where he had his childhood days, living and working. His Art journey dated back to his childhood day, when he use to sketch diagram from his basic science textbook by turning all his subject note to a sketch book. He discovered his passion for art and this passion together with the inbuit talent, continuous practicing, researching and a two year internship under a practicing artists; Oluwafemi Afolabi, coupled with two years of working experience as a studio assistantat @ Femo Art studio, Oyo State Nigeria. This all combined together to shape, mode and produced a passionate Oyeleye Feranmi artistic prowess. Feranmi whose artistic journey could be traced to his childhood days has now been practicing and exploring the world of Art for a handful of years now. His art is a reflection of the intricacies of life, nature, and time influenced by the rich cultural heritage of his Yoruba root. Through a unique blend of abstract to reaism using a certain pattern on my subject, depicting the ever present passage of time on the evolution of nature and human Life in general. Using acrylic on canvass, He tend to create a visual element that will compel his audience into the world of dialogue and introspection and contribute to the conversation. His art seeks to draw attention and inspiration from the status quo within his environment, Time, nature, world, and the interesting world of men and women,That is,Their decision, life struggles, their love stories and socio poitical concept. Feranmi is steadfast in his belief that, art should be a guiding manual in navigating life puzzling and contributing to a deeper understanding of life, acting as a catalyst for introspection and understanding.
