This artwork is a tribute to the countless kind people around the world who dedicate their lives to saving, helping, and supporting those in need. In the realm of human compassion, the hands and hearts serve as guiding lights of selflessness and empathy. Like the gentle touch of a helping hand, people extend their palms to uplift those burdened by adversity. Their hands possess the power to mend broken spirits, heal wounded souls, and construct bridges of hope even in the darkest of times. They skillfully weave a tapestry of unity, reminding us that we are interconnected by the threads of compassion and service in our shared existence. Their acts inspire us to look beyond ourselves, extend our own hands, and open our hearts. Through these acts, we find true meaning and purpose in our lives.
Kateryna Goncharova is a Ukrainian artist, currently residing in Armenia. Initially, she obtained a degree in design and architecture but her passion for art led her to pursue a career as an artist. Her work revolves around important social and philosophical issues such as war, emigration, issues faced by women in a patriarchal society, etc. She also loves creating figurative artworks dedicated to human diversity, inclusivity, and inner strength. Her pieces depict people of all genders, ages, races, and social statuses. Now Kateryna is interested in working in mixed media and huge formats - approximately human height. It seems to her that we, as humanity, now live in a historical time and must think and act broadly.
