Description of the Artwork “Oldschool party people”
In this painting, I've conveyed my nostalgia for the times I missed - mid 1980s. This was the era of the birth of rave culture. At illegal music parties, ravers danced jacking to Chicago house music. They dressed up in amazing outfits. Escapism reigned there. Everyone had fun. It was a real holiday of soul and body. Using acrylics, I blend figurative forms with metaphysical and semi-abstract sensibilities, summoning a tapestry of emotions colored in bold, resonant hues. This artwork is a tribute to the spirit of unity and the multilayered encounters that define us.
