Description of the Artwork “Girl with the pomegranate”
The character of the painting is going through a painful break up, she is still overwhelmed by depressing thoughts. But she is determined to continue living despite the unbearable pain. She cuts out the feelings remnants, as the still fresh car in the heart area tells us. And she puts on display her broken heart, which is symbolized by a split pomegranate.
