This artwork is an oil painting on stretched canvas, capturing the likeness of the historical figure Fool Bull, also known as Tatanka Witko. Created in 2024 by artist Sonny Andersson, the portrait draws from a 1900 photograph taken by John Alvin Andersons at the Rosebud Indian Reservation. The high-quality oil paints used lend depth and richness to the colors, bringing the subject to life with precision and detail.
I was born and raised in Grimsås Tranemo municipality but since 2020 I live in Helsingborg Sweden Since I retired as an accountant in 2019, I can now devote myself to my painting. I now work mostly on commissioned paintings from digital photographs and passionately strive to create realistic paintings that only come from constantly improving my craft through continuous training and study. As a portrait painter, I use a traditional oil painting technique layer upon layer wet on wet that captures the feeling of joy in the oil painting process. What you get is a portrait created in the same way as portraits you would find in a museum and thus has lasting value. Is approved for F tax and VAT registered If you have an image that you would like to turn into a piece of art, please send me a message, I will be happy to explore the possibilities of creating something that I know you would really appreciate.
