Description of the Artwork “The mystical history Malanka”
The Ukrainians, like any other people, have their own customs and traditions: many of these are very old, some appear nowadays. Most of the customs are connected with the religious festivals or with Ukrainian dwelling. They give generously from the evening until midnight on the eve of St. Basil's Day, or, as they say, the Old New Year, that is, January 13. According to the Christian calendar, this is also Saint Melania's day. Melanka-Voda comes to a generous evening together with Vasyl-Moon to inform the hosts about the festivities and make a feast, which is what the people call Melanka's feast.

First of all, I am the creator of light. I work in many techniques, but I like to paint with oil paints the most. My work is an experiment. Often I work on large canvases without any sketch. I draw most of the works in one breath, because I don't like to return to the past. I have been teaching children for more than 10 years, so primitivism is my favorite art genre.
