Brahmajyoti is the spiritual light that surrounds the Lord's body. In the spiritual world there is no need for the light of the Sun or the Moon because all the planets there can emit light themselves. Brahmajyoti, a homogeneous boundary sphere, is the source of an infinite number of jivas, souls, tiny spiritual particles, which is an indivisible mass. Brahmajyoti are rays emanating from the transcendental Lord, and the tip of the brahmajyoti beam is the jiva. The jiva, the soul, is an atom in this effulgence, and the brahmajyoti is composed of innumerable jiva atoms.
