Description of the Artwork “Pier of Saint-Cyprien”
I was inspired to write this work by a trip to the city of Saint-Cyprien, located on the southern Mediterranean coast of the French coast. The beauty of the sea, the fishing pier, the boats slowly entering the bay of this beautiful coastal town in the evening, after a day's sailing. Calm, clear sea water at the entrance to the bay, surrounded by protective walls of huge stones. On the horizon are the eastern Pyrenees with the recognizable silhouette of the mountains I wanted to convey this tranquility, the purity of sea water, the color of the evening sun illuminating the huge stones of the Gulf of Saint-Cyprien. HAND PAINTED: All paintings are hand painted. I seek and draw inspiration from nature, observing and admiring its colors, dynamics and grace. The perfection of nature, dynamics, freshness, bright colors and grace - this is what I want to convey with my art, to transfer to a space closer to modern man, absorbed in the specifics of life in modern society, often cut off from nature, but striving for harmony and unity with it.
