In this mesmerizing painting, the artist masterfully captures the raw power of the ocean during a storm. The scene features a sturdy lighthouse standing tall against the crashing waves, a symbol of resilience and hope amidst nature's fury. The play of light and shadow adds depth and intensity to the turbulent sea and stormy sky. The use of vibrant, yet stormy colors enhances the dramatic effect, conveying the sense of urgency and unpredictability of the coastal weather. This painting not only depicts a lighthouse but also embodies the untamed spirit of the sea, captivating the viewer with its dynamic energy and emotional resonance.
I like to create what I call "HAPPY PAINTINGS " and this portfolioincludes a selection of my favourite paintings. I was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and have recently retired having spent over 40 years as a Director / Partner in the Construction Consultancy Sector as a Project Manager / Cost Manager on such projects as Titanic Signature Museum, South West Hospital and Belfast Metropolitan College to name a few. I am self taught and use oil on canvas or board and have a preference for impressionism style of art and intend to produce more paintings utilising seascapes especially beaches, landscapes, buildings including infrastructures such as bridges and abstract. My aim for the future is to produce more and better "Happy Paintings " going forward.
