At first I wanted to paint a landscape, but then I saw a photo of a Ukrainian house. I immediately remembered how in my childhood, I visited my grandmother in the village in the summer. I remembered the smell of freshly cut grass, steamed milk, the sounds of nature and the cries of geese. I remembered how I walked along the paths between similar houses and played with the village animals. I loved to watch the sun bunnies in the morning, which jumped from the porch of the house to the ground and as the sun advanced in the sky, they went to the tall grass of the field. In this picture, I wanted to convey all the warmth and tenderness of the Ukrainian village, which I remember from my childhood. The picture shows the national house of my people, in the morning on a sunny, summer day. The shade of thick leaves gives coolness and freshness, but the azor rays of the sun break through it. According to my plan, an elderly couple, descendants of real Cossacks, live in this house. Since they are old, the flower beds near the house are unkempt, but the people who live here are hospitable and kind. They are always ready to help if they can. I want to show you the beauty of the Ukrainian countryside and perhaps draw attention to the culture of Ukraine. Picture size 210x297mm (8.27x11, 65 inches) + frame size. Under glass with a small passepartout. There are hanging fasteners. The picture is drawn with dry pastel on kraft paper.
